White Asparagus Party 2024 hosted by the German Chamber of Commerce
This season has come again this year.
The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be hosting a White Asparagus Party in celebration of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Japan!
The venue is the Palace Hotel.
Grosse was a platinum sponsor and we attended together with members of the Grosse Club.
Let's start with a toast with an aperitif!
White asparagus was displayed at the entrance to the venue.
It already looks delicious! My expectations for the food are rising.
We chatted with everyone at the Grosse Club and headed to the table listed on our name cards.
The first dish was white asparagus with burrata and tomato. The fruity acidity of the orange was a perfect match with the fresh white asparagus and burrata.

Fresh white asparagus was flown in specially from Germany for the party - a whopping 1kg per person! We enjoyed it with hollandaise sauce and melted butter.
And we were given unlimited refills of the white asparagus, potatoes, and serrano ham! We thoroughly enjoyed it.
While we were enjoying our meal, we heard piano music coming from the stage. As we listened to the music, a live performance by members of TOKYO NIKIKAI OPERA, dressed as hotel staff, began!
The singing voice resonates in the heart, something that can only be experienced at a live performance. It was an extraordinary and moving moment.
Dessert was vanilla ice cream and milk blancmange with strawberry soup.
The party is still going on.
The raffle, where luxurious prizes were awarded, was a huge success, with four winners announced from the Grosse Club.
Among the many luxurious prizes given out, the last one to be presented, carrying the expectations of the entire venue, was a necklace from Grosse worth 140,000 yen!
The venue was filled with excitement as the representative, Noda, personally announced the winners.
The lucky winner was a male customer! Noda personally presented him with a gift on stage.
After the final drawing, there were voices of disappointment as some people were heard saying they hadn't won a prize, but then Grosse had a little surprise for them.
One person at each table will receive a free Grosse flower necklace!
Winners emerged one after another, making the raffle a huge success.
We thoroughly enjoyed the White Asparagus Party with everyone at Grosse Club at the front row VIP table.
